"Girls Bros" and "Landslide" singles from the new Teresa Wright "Sometimes Blues" EP have found a path onto DistroKid playlists, the most popular independent music distributor.
Teresa’s release “Landslide," a remake of the Stevie Nicks / Fleetwood Mac hit has made it to the TPAXDistroKid "FRESH FINDS" playlist on Spotify.
“I have been wowed and honored to make a playlist like that!” says Wright, who has distributed her debut singer/songwriter album one single at a time through DistroKid for the past year and a half, coordinated with producer Amanda Colleen Williams in Nashville, TN.
The strategy is to release the songs one single at a time leading up to a 6 song physical product CD called “Sometimes Blues,” that is currently available only to Teresa's inner circle fans and supporters.
Leading up to the album release, "Landslide" single has also been added to the Daily Top Hits, a playlist based in Finland.
Another single on the EP that has gotten a large amount of attention is “Girl Bros," an organic roots flavored dance song that describes grabbing your besties, packing up and taking off to have a fun adventure trip.
DistroKid placed this song on their Hype List and Fresh Finds Playlists, leading to a surge in streams as the tune is enjoyed by new listeners.
